Stew Perry Topband Distance Challenge

The Stew Perry Topband Distance Challenge has established itself as the “friendly” 160 meter contest.  While it enjoys strong activity, the band is slightly less crowded than the major 160 meter contests.  This provides more opportunities for the “non super stations” to make intercontinental QSOs.

The next Stew Perry is coming on December 27th/28th 2008.  Click here for full rules.

The pre-Stew event will be held on October 18th/19th 2008.  This event was initially held in 2006 and was a great warm up for the main event.  It also helped demonstrate how good the band is earlier in the Topband season.

Times for both events are 1500Z to 1500Z.  Operate a maximum of 14 hours.  Exchange your four digit grid square.

Cabrillo logs for both events get submitted to tbdc@contesting.com.  We will try to take logs with or without RSTs in them this year  although the Cabrillo format for this contest includes an RST field (just put 599).  This is because the definition was done back when the first contest was run – which did include an optional RST in the exchange.
